You are walking the river in the trees at twilight when the air seems to tear open. An orb appears — a net of webbing inside a sphere of light — and for a moment space and time show through, as if something far ahead were quietly pulling at the path. It feels transcendental, like a pressure at the end of time leaning back through the ferns. The ordinary world does not disappear; it simply opens, and the jungle stays around you while something larger looks through.
